Adam 'Ian Beale' Woodyatt beat off competition form eight of his co-stars to win the Weakest Link EastEnders Special.

The team earned £4350 pounds for Comic Relief, which the programme makers doubled as a charitable gesture.

A number of contestants, including Lucy Speed (Natalie Evans) were unashamedly less than tearful at being voted off as 'the Weakest Link'. "It's a relief to be out of there," said Speed after escaping the studio pressure.

Anne Robinson ended the programme by announcing to runner-up Wendy Richard (Pauline Fowler): "You leave with nothing, but you look absolutely terrific."
