A special one-off edition of the quiz show The Weakest Link has been filmed and it's full of eastern promise.

Eight cast members from Britain's top-rated soap, EastEnders, come face-to-face with Anne Robinson, who urges the team to eject members who are "more Albert Square than Albert Einstein" and "thicker than Pat's earrings".

The show, to be broadcast at 7pm on Thursday 1 March, features Wendy Richard (who plays Pauline Fowler), Shaun Williamson (Barry Evans), Todd Carty (Mark Fowler), Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale), Lucy Benjamin (Lisa Shaw), Hannah Waterman (Laura Dunn) and Lucy Speed (Natalie Evans).

A battle of wills is said to take place between Wendy 'Pauline Fowler' Richard and cult meanie Robinson.

Shaun Williamson suffered the shame of being the first to be voted out of the team, but the winner is a guarded secret until the big night. The quiz will directly precede the episode of EastEnders disclosing soapworld's worst-kept secret, the shooting of Phil Mitchell.
