Friday, 14 March 2003, 9.39 PM Will has been announced as the winner of the first ever Celebrity Fame Academy. Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley named him during Comic Relief 2003 on BBC ONE. While Will walks away with the trophy, Ruby Wax wins a unique greatest hits of her own performances. Hugh Grant turned up to present the awards. Over 4 million votes have been cast over the past eight days raising £600,000 for Comic Relief, surpassing even Big Brother's £1/2 million during the Red Nose Day 2001 appeal. Meanwhile in an "unable to drive shocker" at the Celebrity Driving School it was revealed that not a-one of the six famous candidates passed their driving test. |
