Monday, 10 March 2003, 7.03 AM Comic Relief's official single, Spirit in the Sky, goes on sale everywhere from today. All royalties from its sales go to the Red Nose Day appeal. Pop idol Gareth Gates is helped to the place that's the best by The Kumars, and they'll all be appearing on A Night of Comic Relief on BBC ONE on Red Nose Day (14 March). If you request the video on The Box you'll make a 10p donation to Comic Relief. The video is currently the music channel's number one most requested, as well as that of Smash Hits. Hopes are sky-high that it will repeat the success of 2001's single, Uptown Girl by Westlife, which went straight to number 1 and raised £1 million. |
