Tuesday, 25 February 2003, 11.17 PM Lenny Henry has written for Radio Times about the time he got together with TV chef Gordon Ramsay to prepare a meal for 100 children at the Mkombozi Centre in Tanzania. The shelter supports homeless children and has received £300,000 from Comic Relief. Gordon and Ramsay's task was one of a series of challenges to be shown in The Ultimate Makeover (Saturday 1 March, BBC One). Lenny documents their time meeting children at the shelter over a three-day period and the profound effect it had on them. You can read Lenny's African Diary in the new Radio Times (1-7 March), page 22. |
