Wednesday, 19 February 2003, 7.46 PM Even if you didn't catch the original there are several million reasons to get caught up in a second run of BBC One's Fame Academy. From 7th March, Fame Academy Towers opens its doors to nine celebrities who must sing daily to stay in the show. Each night viewers will vote for who to save and who to be given the heave-ho. Evictees are then carted off to BBC Three to spill the beans in a special highlights and analysis show presented by Vanessa Langford and Danann Breathnach. Expect lots of playing for the cameras and the odd shattered pane of glass as the students get coaching in the way of the voice. The winner will be decided on Red Nose Day in a play-off between the last three stars. They won't get a million pound record deal, nor a celebrity lifestyle for a year, but they'll be winners and the proceeds from the viewer votes all go to Comic Relief. In 2001, a celebrity version of Big Brother raised £1/2million for Comic Relief. |
