Dawn French will be making an appearance at this year's Cheltenham Literature Festival. During the ten-day festival actors, comedians and politicians join authors for debate and discussion to celebrate the written word.
French will be discussing her forthcoming autobiography, Dear Fatty, at her own event on Sunday 19th October. The Literature Festival, one of four Cheltenham Festivals, runs from 10-19 October 2008.

I have just finished reading 'Dear Fatty' and it is one of the funniest, most touching, honest and entertaining biographies that I have read. I wish I could make it to the Festival, as I'm sure it would be a joy to hear Ms French talk about the book.

My daughter Sarah, aged 12, just adores Dawn French and Dear Fatty was number one on her wish list for Xmas.
Don't be misled by the photo, she's thoroughly enjoying reading it, she's just stuck in bed with a vicious cold, I'd just given her some Sudafed to help and inadvertently sent her to sleep.
I had to pry the book out of her hand when I tucked her in.
Great book and a joy to read!
