Amarillo made history yesterday, becoming the first number one under the new chart format where CD and download charts are merged. The Comic Relief single sold 64,339 physical copies and 4,661 downloads, totalling 69,000 sales.
It's the song's fifth week at number one.
Meanwhile, there were a record 36,017 runners in the London Marathon and, as ever, those running for Comic Relief were there. Indications are that Christopher Parker finished 19,537th in the race while Steve Rider jogged home in 32,160th place.
