Radio Times magazine asked the writers of some best-loved sitcoms what happened to their characters since we last saw them.
Richard Curtis says of The Vicar of Dibley: "Geraldine is probably still in Dibley, and at the moment holds very strong opinions about the question of gay members of the clergy. She's considering becoming a lesbian in order to make her point. ... As for Alice, she now has 11 children, but ran out of names three years ago, so the last five of them are called Bernard -- even the girls."
